Steve Greenberg is the son of Hess’s last, local Chairman & CEO, Irwin Greenberg. Steve has been a part of "retail royalty" his entire life. Steve also shares an update on his dad today (hiya Irwin!!). Irwin Greenberg ended his career as president, CEO and chairman of Hess’s in 1990. Irwin worked there for 35-years, starting as merchandiser under the leadership of the great Max Hess Jr. At the time of his retirement, Hess’s had grown to 75 or 76 locations (both numbers have been reported) in the US.
